Ruins found in Cape Breton claimed to be Chinese

Terry J. Deveau

On July 2, 2005, I sent an Email to Paul Chiasson requesting to view the site:

“… I’m planning to be in Cape Breton from July 30 through August 1 and it would be wonderful to be able to view your site. Are any of those dates convenient for you?”

I received the following reply on July 4, 2005:

“… As far as the Cape Breton ruins go, because the site is not protected yet - an ongoing process with the Nova Scotian authorities - I am keeping the exact location very quiet to protect it from possible vandals.  Even unsuspecting hikers could harm what is now a pristine location.  I trust you will understand.  Have a great time in Cape Breton, and again thanks for your interest in the site.”
