Dear Sir/Madam!

Please allow me to introduce myself. My name is Kent Budden and I live in St. Anthony, northern Newfoundland, near the world famous Viking site at L'Anse aux Meadows. For the past five years I have been researching and exploring the possibility of a second Norse settlement in Newfoundland. Incredibly I believe I have found it. In fact I believe I have discovered the true Vinland of the great Norse Sagas. As evidence; I offer incredible matching geography with the ancient Saga's discription of Vinland, burial mounds, caribou pitfalls, stone house foundation sites, very favorable comments about the area from Mr. Helge Ingstad —discoverer of the Viking site at L'Anse aux Meadows, amazing artifacts such as Viking axe heads, a large rune-stone with Viking markings on it, a Viking age boat builder's kit, an iron cloak pin, amulets and many other interesting pieces of evidence. If I am correct then the known Viking world has just expanded 250 kms to the south of L'Anse aux Meadows. I have written books about my discoveries — One is now available at my website www.vinlanddiscovery.com Check it out if you like! It contains some very interesting pictures of artifacts. The book is titled "Vinland Discovery — The Unfinished Story" I just thought that members of your society may be interested in such a story.   Thank you for your time!

Sincerely yours,

Kent Budden
