Haffenreffer Requests NEARA help with Viking Weekend

I wanted to remind you that the Viking Weekend is coming up September 13th-14th.  Essentially folks are coming in on Friday night, September 12th, and will be performing/re-enacting from 12-5 on Saturday and Sunday. 

As a part of this, on Saturday evening, the 13th of Sept., from 4-7, we're hosting a party for any incoming Brown Freshmen/women interested in coming, as a kick-off event for the new Brown Student Membership in the HMA. 

I know that a lot of NEARA members would be interested in this event and that you could help us to get a good attendance for the two days of the encampment.  I'm relying on that level of interest and commitment and anticipating a good turnout for both days.  But I'm also writing now, quite openly, to ask whether any NEARA members would be interested enough to want to help out by manning grills for the student party and, thereby, getting a better chance to meet the re-enactors.  I suspect we're going to be short-handed with the small staff we have, so any help we can recruit from people of kindred interest would be most welcome!
