Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology at Brown University -
Located on 375 pristine acres overlooking historic Mount Hope Bay in Bristol,
Rhode Island, the Haffenreffer Museum of Anthropology is Brown University's only
major museum. We offer children and adults alike a unique setting to discover
the many indigenous cultures of the world. The Museum houses nearly 100,000
artifacts from the native peoples of the Americas, Africa, Asia and the Pacific.
Our picturesque grounds make a ideal setting to enjoy a picnic lunch and an
afternoon of exploration. Children will especially love our wetu and tipi
exhibits, featuring life-size replicas of 17th century Native American
dwellings.
